Thursday, September 18, 08: The Province publishes story about Camp Kerry
The Province Newspaper recently published a piece on Camp Kerry...
This weekend, 20 families are heading to Camp Kerry on Keats Island for sports, music and art, swimming, hiking and all the fun things people do at a family camp.
They'll also mourn and to learn how to let their children grieve, to share memories of a loved one and to accept that their family is not the only one to have suffered the loss of a mother, father or child.
Camp Kerry, a family bereavement camp, was launched last year with $15,000 in seed money donated in memory of Kerry Kirstiuk, who found out five days after she gave birth to Hudson, now three, that she had Stage 4 colon cancer.
